Ajax Knights victorious over Oshawa Minor Generals

In Peewee A action tonight the Oshawa Minor Generals were hosting the Ajax Knights at the Legends Centre in their first meet up of regular season hockey.

First Period scoring saw the Knights up at the end of the period with Reilan Leonard netting 2, and his linemate Leo Lagasse popping in the 3rd to make it 3-0. Assists for first period goals rewarded to  Leonard, and Sam Smolkin.

The second period saw more goals coming at the Generals with 3 more goals going to Leonard, Lars Bessonov, and Nathan Carnrite. Assists by Colin Nighswander, Adam Docherty, and Lagasse(2). The Knights led 6-0 going into the third period.

Lone goal for Oshawa in the third period was scored by Jonathan Dyer and assisted by Ryan Donald. Ajax didn’t stop and fired back with 3 more goals. Goals in the 3rd period scored by Cameron McElheran, Reilan Leonard, and Sam Smolkin with assists going to Leonard and Lagasse with 2 more assists. A big night for Leonard and Lagasse combining for 11 points.

The game ended with a score of 9-1 as Ajax remain undefeated and remain first place in league standings. The Knights host the Peterborough Petes this Sunday September 30 at 5:40pm out of the Ajax Community Centre while the Oshawa Generals host the Quinte West Hawks on September 29 at 3:30pm out of Legends Centre.
